What are the dangers of Ivory Wave?
Caution is advised when using designer drugs
Ivory Wave Dangers are not well documented, except for news stories, but have been reported to range from agitation, hallucinations, seizures, kidney failure, and blood pressure spikes. As a background, Ivory Wave Bath Salts are sold by tobacco and head shops, and ostensibly touted as a “not for human consumption” bath water additive that is (in reality) bought by people who are looking to ingest the substance for its drug-like effects. In the international media, there have been reports of people who became addicted to Ivory Wave, which also goes by names like Purple Wave, Ivory Coast, and Vanilla Sky, and who subsequently ruined their lives or died from overdoses and/or conditions related to addiction which are also common to illegal drug users. Online forums have touted the substance as a way to gain energy, lose weight, or get a “legal high” and in some cases the materials mixed in to the “bath salt” powders is chemically similar to ecstacy or cocaine. Unfortunately, because the substance is sold as a bath salt there is no information about what may actually be in the package, what dosage would create life-threatening conditions, and what other chemicals are being used, which could be toxic when consumed. Even worse, medical personnel may not be able to treat an Ivory Wave overdose without knowing exactly what substance is causing dangerous symptoms.
